Australian Chase Season 2019/2020

The chase season of 2019/2020 was difficult for many, including myself. Australia was going through a horrendous drought, with moisture-starved regions seeing record temperatures leading to a massive outbreak of emergency warned bushfires, destroying large parts of Eastern Australia.

Not only was this devastating to the environment, but the human and wildlife toll was unimaginable in this country. The lack of moisture didn't just lead to bushfires but a rather lean storm season for many locations. To top it off, any potentially significant storm days were on my rostered workdays. I chased numerous times; however, they were rather a bust or very difficult to chase due to lingering smoke or marginal set-ups.

Here are a few photos from the 2019/2020 season.
